I'm a bit worried with the old forum being abandoned that Studio may soon be abandoned as well. How do I just DOWNLOAD the Studio 26 Ultimate installation files? When I use the installation stub, it doesn't give the option to download only. I'd like to download it again for safekeeping.

Although the program itself is unlikely to move forward, at present, there is some support from Alludo (new owners). That support is available here. It may be that one of our experts on here can resolve your immediate problem and if so, I am sure that they will post an answer for you. Being a cautious individual, I have always considered it worth paying the extra for a disc version of the program, but then downloading is still necessary for the updates.

This page does not provide a link to download the software. The stub can be found here : www.pinnaclesys.com/en/landing/download/However that's not the concern of the OP since he already has the stub. imarefIf you launch the stub on a PC where PS26 is not installed you should get a folder on your Windows desktop which includes all the installation files of PS26. Back it up.

It's been around 2 versions that they stopped providing physical disc. The last purchase for me was PS25 and I do have a disc for that but once I discovered that versions after PS23 were incapable of handling my complex football videos, I decided it was not worth my purchasing further versions, unless there were radical changes to the program.

If I were to follow the advice above and use the stub to download on a different computer, it would still require me to put in my serial number. That would be against the terms of service, correct?

No. Because on the second PC you don't install PS, just download it.

No. Because on the second PC you don't install PS, just download it. Although not against the EULA as you're not installing Studio on that PC; it may cost one of the change-of-PC "lives" allowed by the license server... (the stub goes through all of the serial number/registration check stuff before it gets to the point of offering the installation choices (normal/custom); choose "custom", then "download only")
