Hi here. Congratulations to Bob on the forum opening. Very good idea and a good answer to the closure of Pinnaclesys.

Hello Bob, I would like to follow up on a tip from the German-language forum and ask you to integrate a German-language forum in addition to the French and English-language forums. As far as I know, there were once over 100,000 users registered in the German-language forum. I think it would be a great help and enrichment for them if their problems could be discussed here. Thank you very much in advance!

Thank you very much in advance! This is something of à dilemma for me as owing to the layout of this forum, if I should receive similar requests from other nationalities, there would be too much scrolling to do between the body of the forum and the Info centre at the bottom. Could we wait while and see how many German people join. Thank you for your understanding. Should such a section eventually be created, would you be prepared to act as moderator, as obviously it would need to be someone with a command of the language? In the meantime, German nationals may use the English forum even ìf they are only able to post in German. Google Translate might need to be used in order for others to address the query.

Thank you Bob, let's first see what the influx of German Pinnacle users is like, how many register in the new Pinnacle forum. German users of the forum can certainly also publish their problems, tips and assistance in the English forum.

As moderator for the (old) PS Dutch forums, I got a private message from a user with the request for a way to get a Dutch version of this forum. Many Flemish and Dutch speaking people are able to at least modestly communicate in English, so for the time being I will keep off such requests.

My suggestion as an interim solution. Creates a “General Topics for German-speaking Users” tab in the English section. Everything can be packed in here, from importing, editing to exporting. I think there won't be as many active German users anymore. If so, the admin can still react.

It had occurred to me to create a single board. If that would suffice, I would be happy to introduce one.
Would you like to be the moderator as it would have to be someone that speaks the language?

Hi Bob. The board setup is pretty much what I expected. Moderator? That wasn't my idea. I could do it for a transitional period until everything falls into place. In the long run it's not for me anymore. I have shut down my forum “ Die Videobearbeitung”. I had private reasons that seemed more important to me (my wife's indisposition).

Hi Hansi I will still wait for a moderator and understand why you would not want the role. Ultimately though, we must find one in order to ensure that both this forum and ProBoards rules are being followed.

He is a good Pinnacle expert and also likes the forum communications. He won't be without help.
